Breeding is not a hobby for me, it is my passion and love .
I take breeding very seriously.
Our parents all have wonderful, gentle, and very loving temperaments, plus all the complete health certifications done.
Many have CGC titles and others going on into competition at AKC Obedience Trials & Rally.
We stand behind our exceptional dogs and offer a two year limited health warranty on all of our puppies.
All of our Goldens, Miniature Poodles and Goldendoodle parents are raised in loving homes, either here with us, with family, or in the homes of our approved guardian families/friends. We do NOT have kennels, we don’t believe in raising dogs in any other situation than in our homes as members of our family. Our dogs have all the love they can handle and sleep in our rooms and on our beds. It is shown that temperament can indeed be passed down to puppies from their parents and we firmly believe that home raised puppies that are a valuable part of a loving family are totally ready upon pick up date to be loved by their new family.
We started out with our first Golden Retrievers in 1994. The pedigrees of our Goldens date back 7 generations, so we know a lot about their ancestors. My early childhood we had a Miniature Poodle and I leaned then how smart and family orientated poodles are, in addition to the non-shedding! Goldendoodles just fit well into what we could provide to certain families looking for the combination of the two sport dogs Goldens & Poodles. So it's no wonder that you get a very family friendly, intelligent, active dog with a beautiful soft shaggy coat (that's low to non shedding) companion for many wonderful years.
The sizes in each litter vary from the parents and can be around 20-40+ lbs. (Medium or Miniature)

the FIRST THING TO KNOW IS THAT GOLDENDOODLES DO NOT ALL COME OUT THE SAME.

F1B is for that more non shedding coat. All our F1B's will be miniature or small medium in size .. about 18-33 lbs..
F1 first generation Goldendoodle pups are 50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever so you get more of the soft shaggy coat that comes from the Golden Retriever and not all poodle coat.
Average size is medium between a Golden and a Miniature Poodle, about 20-40+ lbs est.
We only offer cream, apricot/golden tinted Doodle colors which are the more common colors in a Golden Retriever coat. We do not breed party colors nor dark, blacks, reds or brown colors not consistent with a Golden Retriever color.

We practice "Early Neural Stimulation" techniques on all of our puppies!
We believe it is essential and very important ingredient in achieving a well balanced, socialized puppy.

We are located in 4 seasons Spokane, Washington where our dogs can run and play all year round. Of course sometimes in the snow! We are NOT a kennel, all of our dogs live as family members in our home or with their loving guardian families near our home. Our puppies are born in our home and stay in our home until they go to yours. They are never put out into another building, barn, or basement area to live. This is the best way to raise a puppy as they are then ready for the move to your home.
Golden Acres is a dedicated Home breeder of top quality AKC Golden Retrievers for over 28 years
and Goldendoodle puppies for over 14+ years.
We health certify all our dogs.
**We only breed selectively AKC Golden Retrievers with emphasis on
Certified Health Parents,Temperament, Conformation, Training for Obedience, Rally, and Scent work.**
For our Goldendoodles we only breed from our own poodles cream or apricot color poodles to give us that "Light Gold" tint so becoming on a GOLDEN DOODLE. We're sure your here for the same reason! We love the temperament and wonderful soft and low to non shedding coats they give us. Goldendoodles are an active breed coming from both parents with hunting backgrounds. They are a smart and your attention to training will allow your puppy to reap the benefits. You must also be knowledgeable on proper grooming to keep their coats in optimal condition. If you are familiar with a Goldendoodles you’ll know that their needs for grooming are above average in time and effort. The benefits are great but you don’t want to slack off or you have lots to make up.
** Please note that we are not affiliated nor do we sell to any Puppy Brokers nor advertise on their sites. It is well known that puppies purchased from puppy broker sites are almost always from puppy mills. Their puppy mill operations can be very well disguised through these sites and even sites of their own. A quality, reputable breeder does not have trouble selling their own puppies and will never use a broker.

and thank you for taking the time to know a little bit more about us!
Here at GOLDEN ACRES GOLDEN RETRIEVERS & GOLDENDOODLES, we are committed to giving our families the best service we can even before the puppies are born. We know how hard it can be to wait for just the perfect puppy. It is common for our litters to be reserved well before they are born and in some cases we have families on our waiting lists months before our litters are even bred.
We want you to have the best start possible with your new puppy, therefore we work with you and your puppy BEFORE he or she even comes home. We want to do all that we can to help you get to know your puppy even while she is with us, so we take extra time to take lots of pictures & videos so that you can watch the puppies grow.
History of Golden Acres
In 1990 it was all about my Golden Retrievers. Our first one was so amazing as a family pet that we just had to have another. Soon that became a passion of providing beautiful, loving & healthy AKC Golden Retrievers to families from California to Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho & Washington. Then in 2005 , as people started asking us if we had any Goldendoodle puppies, we decided it was time to make the addition. I had miniature poodles as a kid and was very familiar with their personalities, trainability, non-shedding coats, and grooming. So it was easy to decide at that time back in 2005 to add standard and miniature Poodles to Golden Acres . Our records go back over 28 years of breeding quality, healthy puppies.

Golden Retrievers and Poodles are considered in the top 10 for the most highly intelligent breeds to be found. Goldendoodles are very social, loving dogs that thanks to their high intellect are very easy to train. They make the perfect family pet or service companion to anyone with disabilities with proper training. We hear time after time how our puppies have enriched their lives and adapt to the different needs of the people in the family. Our goal is to produce healthy, well adjusted puppies that will be a loving companion for many, many years. Of course, training is extremely important to have a well mannered dog in any family. If you choose NOT to do the training required then it’s very difficult to have the outcome you desire.
