We know there are many breeders out there and we are very happy that you're here to learn all about Golden Acres and our love of Goldens. There’s a lot to read here, but if you take the time it will answer many of your questions.
Starting in 1994 our love of AKC Golden Retrievers has been our primary focus until 2008 when we were interested in adding F1 & F1B Goldendoodles to our family.
Our AKC Golden Retrievers are bred only with extreme care in selecting the right parents. Health Certified Parents, Temperament, Training, Conformation are paramount. When we have a Golden Retriever breeding it is with extreme care in selection and raising the puppies. AKC puppies are registered Limited (Spay/Neuter Contract), meaning all AKC competition is allowed except for conformation (breeding dogs only).
GoldenDoodles ~ F1B sizes can range from 19-30 or 20-45 .....depending on the mom. I do not classify Goldendoodles by various marketing names like mini, micro mini, or petite mini, or just miniature, because everyone has a different opinion on what that means. Honestly, it’s generally the average weight of the parents weight. The AKC does not use weight as a deciding factor between Toy, Miniature and Standard Poodles. It strictly by height. So I find it unimportant to classify by weight.
F1 Medium Goldendoodle is bred using AKC Golden Retriever 50-60 lbs with AKC Miniature Poodle 11-17 lbs.
F1 is a medium Goldendoodle that is half Golden Retriever and half Miniature Poodle. They are not shed-less but have reduced shedding.
They are not miniature in the size of the poodle dad, but an average of mom and dad's size. Generally 20-45 lbs.

The happiness of our families as well as our puppies is very important to us. See what Golden Acres does to help you before and after your puppy arrives in your home! We do our best to help make sure that each family gets a puppy that fits their family. We let our families choose their puppies in the order of how they have reserved a spot with a deposit. We do not decide on which puppy we feel is best for your family as some other breeders do. We feel that this is a very personal decision that no one should take away from you. We offer all the help you need in making your selection. Please go to our PRICES page for more information on our allocation process and picking out your puppy.
If your looking for a friendly breeder to help find the right puppy to be included in your family then I hope you'll give Golden Acres a call. Happily serving families since 1994. For more information about the history of Golden Acres please check out the ABOUT US page in menu.
Not all breeders are alike. You can be assured of the best experience in reserving a Golden Acres puppy and knowing the care your puppy will receive until the day he/she goes home with you is premier. This is not a farm or barn.... but a loving family home environment. After 24 years of families just like you coming to Golden Acres you can be certain you are at the right place. It’s always a joy when new families tell me that they heard such good things from referral family or friends.
Sincerely,
Linda
